| Paw Injury Prescott is 4 1/2 months. He loves going for walks but I make sure to do it earl in the morning and later in the evening. For the past week he has been stopping to lay down every few minutes. I attributed it to the fact that my kids were walking with me and he is less comfortable when they are running and starting and stopping so rapidly. He doesn't love to have his paws isolated but today at the park he was tired out and I was looking at them and I noticed his from paw on the outer pad, the top 1/3 is a pale yellow color. It is the same texture as the rest of the paw just a different color. there is a spot that looks like it may be a scab in the yellow part. I had him at the groomer for the first time 2 weeks ago for a full groom. They didn't say anything about an injury. I had him at a different groomer on Saturday for just a bath (trying to get him use to the process) and the didn't say anything about it either. I called the Vet but they are closed for the holiday. I am puzzled because I have never noticed blood(which makes me think it was done at the original groomer visit) and he hasn't even been limping. He runs around fine in the house and out side. I can not find ANYTHING on the internet that resembles the way his paw looks. I guess my biggest concern is the tissue dying off is that why it's yellow?! TIA |

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | It's a little odd for him to be laying down like that on walks unless it's really just too hot to be walking him and he's overheating. Here in Phoenix, we have to do walks at like 6am for our dogs to be comfortable. As for the paw, I would def get it seen by a vet as it's just so unclear as to what this may be...
