| Prayers needed I haven't been active for a while but some of you may remember me. We are at Auburn University vet school with Sadie. I was in Florida visiting my daughter. My husband called Monday morning and told me that Sadie (our six year old yorkie) had a distended abdomen. I told him to head to the Vet's and I would call. It turns out that there was some fluid in her abdomen but there was significant fluid surrounding her left lung. He did blood work and her protein levels are low. He is baffled because it's only her left lung. I flew home and we drove to Auburn last night. She's in with the Dr now. We could use some prayers for this to be something that can be treated.

| Oh goodness, please keep us posted. Sadie is so lucky to have swift (and exellent) vett care like you are providing. I hope they get to the bottom of it quickly and she will be on the road to a speedy recovery. Nice to see you here....so sorry it is with such a stressful situation. Prayers for Sadie....

| We are back at the hotel. They are going to rerun the tests that my vet ran - they have better equipment. They also plan to do a bile acid test to check her liver, they are going to draw some of the fluid off of her lung to see what is in it, and they will probably do an ultrasound of her chest and abdomen. It's a process of elimination to see if they can get to the bottom of it. They are very nice. We brought our other Yorkie, Beemer with us because he's really lost without Sadie and they had absolutely no problem with it. Sadie's vet student Blake will be calling us later this afternoon.

| Both Sadie and Beamer stole my heart from the times I first saw them a few years ago. It was very apparent to me then, just as it is now, how very devoted you are to them and how very much you love them. It sounds like little Sadie is in great hands. Please continue to share about her well-being. I pray they find something that can easily respond to treatment.
