Donating YT 11K Club Member | Bacterial infection on lower regions So today I just noticed my male Teddy's penis is red on the tip(no not his lipstick) the actual skin is slightly red which was not like that before. There seems to be discharge and he keeps licking it but otherwise acting like his usual self. I googled it and it seems like its a bacterial infection, I've cleaned the area, washed it etc. Does anyone know what medicine is given for this?

| One of my girls had something like what you are explaining and i took her to the vet and it was an infection they gave her antibiotics and an ointment. Good luck with your baby.

| He definitely needs to see the vet. Keep an eye on him and don't let him lick it. That will cause more issues with infection. If you have to, put an E Collar on him.

| My Fletch had this after he was groomed. I took him to the vet and it was razor burn that he infected with his licking! She put him on antibiotics for 10 days and I had to use a cone to keep him away from it. Has Teddy been groomed recently? I ask all groomers to not use the clippers in those areas anymore and just do a scissor cut there. Don't want that to happen again!

Hope he's going to be ok - that has to be the worst place for a male to have 'issues'....at least for human men we all know it is .....they can act like the sun dropped out of the sky at the tiniest thing lol | |
