YT 1000 Club Member | Romeo's having LP surgery... My boy started limping (left hind leg) on Monday but by the evening he was able to walk on the leg. Tuesday morning I noticed he had trouble getting up and he was not as active. Fortunately I was able to get an appointment with the vet. X-rays confirmed diagnosis for LP4. The vet and I discussed surgery and timing and I left his office thinking maybe, just maybe, I could hold out a few months longer. Even with a shot to relieve pain Romeo continued to limp Wednesday morning so I contacted the vet. The ortho surgeon is available tomorrow to do Romeo's LP surgery. It is breaking my heart to see Romeo in pain and discomfort but I am a nervous wreck thinking about what he has to undergo tomorrow. I am reaching out to my YT family for prayers and positive thoughts for Romeo to have a successful surgery tomorrow, and a quick recovery (and back to his normal self).

Donating YT 30K Club Member | Keeping Romeo in my prayers for a safe and successful surgery and a speedy recovery. My Pixie had it 3 years ago and did very well. Recovery wasn't too bad either. Let us know how he is.

YT 1000 Club Member | Thanks everyone for the well wishes and prayers. I am staying positive that he is young enough to heal fast, and the surgeon does not believe any of the tendons are damaged. I promise to update tomorrow as soon as I hear from the surgeon/vet.

| I am so sorry to hear about Romeo's LP! I'm sending prayers your way! Mojo will have to have the surgery at some point (back knees are grades 3 & 4), but shows no symptoms at this point. Ortho surgeon said it was fine to wait on his surgery as long as he doesn't go lame. I still struggle with whether to do the surgery now or wait until he has problems. Big hugs to you and I hope Romeo has a speedy recovery!
