YT 1000 Club Member | ![]() Romeo is faced with the same. This time the left, hind leg "gave out" and the vet had trouble putting the patella back in place. The right leg is a grade 2 and after consulting with the vet, I opted for surgery on the left leg (for exactly what you said -- if both legs become an issue at the same time then Romeo would be immobile). We are leaving home shortly for the ortho surgeon's office. As soon as I get an update on Romeo's surgery I will inform everyone. Thanks for ALL your positive thoughts and prayers.

YT 1000 Club Member | ![]() Thank you all for your prayers and positive thoughts for my Romeo. My little boy never ceases to amaze me! His surgery was only 1 hour and there was no tendon or ligament damage. My girls and I were able to visit with him and much to our surprise he was wide awake/alert and ready to jump into our arms. It took some time to calm him and reassure him that we love him and he will get better soon. I left him with one of his favorite blankets and a toy he snuggles with at night, but it broke my heart to walk away...he was watching us and tilting his head as if to say "please take me home, do not leave me here". I am counting the hours until 8am when we leave home tomorrow to pick him up. I have already adjusted everything in the house to accommodate Romeo and ensure he cannot get into any trouble. Update to follow after I get Romeo home and settled...
