| Lump found on left side of throat Hi, This is my first post and need some input. I have a 14y/o female named Sadie. This morning I was petting her and found what feels like a lump on the left side of her throat. Any ideas? She will be going to the vet on Monday. |

I found a lump on the side of my dog's throat and it was one of those "more serious" problems. Your vet may try antibiotics first, and if that doesn't work, proceed with a biopsy, which is what my vet did. It didn't o any harm, but it didn't do any good either. The internist I take a few of my older dogs to thinks all lumps need to be biopsied. I pretty much agree with this now. I won't let anything pass as probably benign and go for the biopsy. I hope it's nothing, I'll keep your baby in my thoughts.

| It could be a cyst....just relax and have the bet look at it. If the lump freely moves and is in the skin, ...thats better. |

| What did your vet say? It could have even been a tooth causing an infection.
