I found a lump on the side of my dog's throat and it was one of those "more serious" problems. Your vet may try antibiotics first, and if that doesn't work, proceed with a biopsy, which is what my vet did. It didn't o any harm, but it didn't do any good either.

The internist I take a few of my older dogs to thinks all lumps need to be biopsied. I pretty much agree with this now. I won't let anything pass as probably benign and go for the biopsy.

I hope it's nothing, I'll keep your baby in my thoughts.
