| Will she eat before she starves to death? I am soo frustrated right now any help will be great! Chloe's belly is making hungry noises, but she wont eat I managed to get her to swallow a small piece of cheese and a piece of a biscuit treat but not without nearly getting my fingers bit off. She's asleep now but I can still hear her belly and it breaks my heart knowing she's hungry and I can't get her to eat. Any good tricks to get food in them when they are being stubborn like this???

| is she always like this or just today? If always you need to have bile acids on her to see if she has liver shunt as picky eating is a sign of this. If just today then let her fast 12-24 hrs as she will eat when her tummy feels better. Dogs do not have to eat if they do not feel good best to let tummy rest. Water is more important than food - How much does she weigh? |

| Its just today, she is really missing her mom (she has been out of town since Friday). She was fine yesterday and today before I went to work but when I got back tonight I noticed her belly was growling. Mom will be back in the morning so I guess for tonight she will have to stay hungry She is roughly 6 lbs 5 ounces

| if she is 6lbs i would not worry about it and she is not a puppy correct? so i would not worry about hypoglycemia. It is ok for them to not eat when they are stressed. My parents dog hardly eats when they go out of town |

| My pup Bailey had few days when he didn't have any appetite. I took few pieces of his food and sprinkled it in his doggie bed. He would eat it when he find it there, despite the fact that he didn't have an appetite. I guess fewer pieces found in his bed are more of a treasure then all the food in his regular bowl. You can also ask your yorkie to do a trick, like "sit" etc. and offer food as a reward. It may be more of interest that way and encourage eating. |
