| Did you get it stopped? She may be nervous from now on when you cut them but I'm sure she'll be just fine.

| Wow, not yet? That's a lot of blood for a little Yorkie. Holding her paw in flour or corn starch may help if you don't have something designed for this on hand.

Donating YT 1000 Club Member | Aww Your baby still loves you. They have stuff you can buy at petsmart for this. Starts with an S, but I forgot the name. It instantly stops the bleeding. I had this problem to where my babies quicks were just to long so when I got him fixed a few weeks ago I had them cut them way back. This will help with moving the quick back and of course since he was asleep he didn't feel a thing. I decided to buy a cordless mini dremel and try that instead of clipping. It worked great and his nails were smooth. I took a piece of chicken breast I made and I cut it in small pieces. Everytime I filed a nail I gave him a piece of chicken. Now my boy normally sings a song..hehe..before I even touch him. I think he only whined once. He knew the chicken was coming and he was the perfect little boy! |

| There is a powder that you get at petsmart, petco or even on line. It is good the you have it at home from now on. go to the petco website, under grooming suplys, it will be under nail clippers, or just browse that cathegory. I dont really remember the name of it. I did see it, and I was going to buy it but I never have the need to. Good luck

| I bought a pedipaws at CVS, cutting their nails terrifies me, especially after reading where they could bleed to death. This is just much safer. glad you got the bleeding to stop |

Donating YT 1000 Club Member | Stypic Power It is called Stypic power. quick and safe aid to stop bleeding. Styptic Powder is the perfect tool during nail clippings, I have heard the petipaws wasn't that good and so I decieded not to get it. I heard alot of people on this forum talking about the dremel so I decided to try that. It is GREAT! That is what alot of Professional groomers use as well. | I cut my Cocker Spaniel's nail too short once. I felt sooo bad. I had quick stop luckily though. He absolutely hates his nails clipped and he tries to bite/squirm so this made it worse. One suggestion is cut their nails in the bath. He didn't squirm at all until I cut his quick. It was a BIG difference but you have to be extra extra careful since it is harder to see. Vanessa
