I cut my Cocker Spaniel's nail too short once. I felt sooo bad. I had quick stop luckily though. He absolutely hates his nails clipped and he tries to bite/squirm so this made it worse. One suggestion is cut their nails in the bath. He didn't squirm at all until I cut his quick. It was a BIG difference but you have to be extra extra careful since it is harder to see.
