| minor paw injury..help! Hi. I was wondering if I could get some first aid advice. Suki is 9 mos and today unfortunately marks her first injury. My kitchen chair fell down and I think the leg of the chair swiped her paw. She let out a tiny startled yelp but I thought she was just frightened. Anyway after 20 mins later I saw her paw wet with saliva and small blood stain around one nail bed. I washed up her paw and it doesn't appear to be that serious, although she has a slight limp. I think the nail is just slightly lifted up. I put her collar on so she could stop licking it and it seems to be working so far. Can I put Neosporin on the affected area and wrap with gauze until she heals? I know I'll get the typical response about taking her to the vet..but I'm snowed in today. Any other advice will be greatly appreciated.

Phantom Queen Morrigan Donating Member | bandaging it would be fine. you don't want it to get caught on anything and get totally ripped off. just make sure the bandage doesn't get wet or damaged in any way. it is does change it.
