[suki]

Hi. I was wondering if I could get some first aid advice. Suki is 9 mos and today unfortunately marks her first injury. My kitchen chair fell down and I think the leg of the chair swiped her paw. She let out a tiny startled yelp but I thought she was just frightened. Anyway after 20 mins later I saw her paw wet with saliva and small blood stain around one nail bed. I washed up her paw and it doesn't appear to be that serious, although she has a slight limp. I think the nail is just slightly lifted up. I put her collar on so she could stop licking it and it seems to be working so far. Can I put Neosporin on the affected area and wrap with gauze until she heals? I know I'll get the typical response about taking her to the vet..but I'm snowed in today. Any other advice will be greatly appreciated.
