Administrator | YorkieTalk Fundraising for United Yorkie Rescue! We all love Yorkies and that's why we're here! However, not every Yorkie is fortunate enough to have loving parents and a happy life, which is where United Yorkie Rescue comes in. They rescue Yorkies from all over, and rehome them to find them a warm, loving home. As recommended by bettyeanne and Kirby's Dad, this is an excellent organization that truly loves Yorkies and wants what's best for them. For the next month, we're going to try to raise donations for United Yorkie Rescue (http://www.unitedyorkierescue.org) here at YorkieTalk. We all know how kind, generous, and giving YorkieTalk members are, as we have seen time and time again in group efforts YTers have come together for. For every DOLLAR you donate, YorkieTalk will match it (up to $250 dollars in total overall donations). We will take donations via Paypal at donations@yorkietalk.com (please make sure you mark the donation as towards the YT Fundraising for UYR) or by money orders or personal checks (PM us for the address to use). All donations will go directly to United Yorkie Rescue (minus Paypal fees). Let's help some less fortunate Yorkies out there! Let's all come together and do some great things for our favorite breed! * YorkieTalk will donate a minimum of $100 during this fund raising event (and a maximum of $250). All net proceeds (as marked in either Paypal payments or checks or money orders) will be pooled together for one donation to United Yorkie Rescue in about one month's time. If you donate via Paypal, Paypal will charge a small fee. This fee will be deducted from your total donated amount when the money is pooled together for the donation to United Yorkie Rescue. If you donate via Paypal, please put in the notes section that you are donating to the UYR Fund. Also, since all donations are going directly to UYR, donating to the UYR Fund will not make you a Donating Member of YorkieTalk (if you aren't a Donating Member already). We will periodically update this post with the donation amounts with your username or initials (or anonymous if you want to donate anonymously). Please let us know if you do not want your username to be listed with your donation. YorkieTalk will send a cashier's check to United Yorkie Rescue in about a month's time and a picture of the check will be posted for all to see (by the end of June 2006). Even a few dollars can help! So if you can, please donate! If you have any questions, please PM us. | I received this email from Mary this morning after she and I talked about the fundraiser YT is doing for rescue. I think it is very important that YT members see what the costs are for a rescue organization and can dig into their pocketbooks to help these little ones. FastEddie - I sent my donation directly to UYR but have done it on behalf of YT. Hi Cindy, Please post this note for me: I want to thank you all on behalf of United Yorkie Rescue for the donation made to help our Yorkies in need. Just to let you all know: We recently hit a milestone and have now rescued 1003 dogs since our inception. We have spent: $308,424.18 in vetting costs alone. We could never help these Yorkies without generous, caring Yorkie lovers like you! Blessings to all, Mary Sullenberger President, UYR www.UnitedYorkieRescue.

Administrator | livingdustmops: Thank you very much for the post. That's amazing that they have already rescued over 1000 Yorkies!!! That's great that they've found happy, loving homes for so many already! We hope our little fundraiser can help even just a little bit. Also, donating anonymously here is fine too, we would like to give credit where it is due, but we do realize some generous members would rather donate anonymously, which is fine by us. |

| If you do donate, does it count toward making you a donating member of YT??

Administrator | mustangbee: Just write in the notes section that your donation is for UYR and we will put it towards the UYR Donations Fund. LuvtheCooper: Since all donations will go directly to UYR, donating to the UYR fund will not make you a Donating Member of YorkieTalk. |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | Just a thought! Some people may not be able to donate a lot but if everyone who could would send a dollar or two maybe to admin and lump it all togther. There are a lot of members on here who have benefited from the free advice myself included and this is a great opportunity to help give back to a worthy cause. It's just hard to give 1 or 2 dollars through a paypal etc. Like I said just a thought!

| I think that's a great idea and maybe we need to bump this up every so often to make sure the newer members know about it. Just a thought
