| I chose structure because I feel like that is the foundation for all other needs to be met- if it is flopping in on my dogs head she is unsafe and afraid and that is a bad combination! Of course I want it to look like a purse and a cushy inside of luxury is an attraction that I want but without that basic structure all other things are silk on a skinny chicken if you know what I mean. I want a pocket too, I mean, come on- at least one

| #1 for me was the safety harness clip inside. I also needed something that unzips on top and also has an opening "window" in the front so that Chloe can look outside. Pockets are also important and for the bag to be sturdy. I chose the Wooflink Chic Bag 4 because it had all of these qualities.. I will admit it is a little bit heavy though.

| For me... It has to be lightweight, but heavy-duty enough to hold the dog safely. It needs to be well vented and have large enough storage pockets for my wallet & phone. It has to be discrete and look like an everyday purse so no one suspects I'm sneaking my dog in places.

| You know I should have said structure also. I have the Teafco Argo Aero-pet small pet carrier for seven years and I've traveled cross country w/ it thirty or more times and some very long days doing so too. It can get a little warm in there as with most carriers that are built sturdy enough. Lots of very well vented carriers are not sturdy enough. This is the right mix. If it is hot when I travel I just slide a cold pack under the bottom pad. My old guy Lou used to jump in it as soon as I put it out often sleeping inside of it (with the top open) the night before a trip (he was a found boy and was always fearful of being left behind). Finn my new pup has made a few trips to the Vets in it and has done very well with it. |

| I think structure is the most important as if this is in order the rest falls into place. |

Banning Thread Dictator Donating Member | I'm delighted at the one I got for traveling. It's designed as airline approved (though sometimes it can be a squeeze to get it to fit under the seat), but it has a handle and wheels for wheeling through the airport. In the car, it doubles as a carseat. Walking, it triples as a backpack carrier. It's lasted so long because it's sturdy. Not sure if this is the same brand but it looks like this: Snoozer Roll Around Travel Pet Carrier - Pet Carriers with Wheels - Pet Travel Center

| The shoulder strap needs to be comfortable and the straps should be long enough so the bag hits me about hip height--that makes it more stable to hold. Should be sturdy, well-vented. This is critical: the bag can't be too heavy. I'm on my 4th one for Frankie. Got the Pet Flys Burberry look one. It's a beautiful bag that can handle my wallet, keys and phone. Don't want to be required to carry a purse too.

Donating YT 3000 Club Member | I don't have a purse addiction but I have a bunch of carriers lol . . .depends on what do you want it for. And the size of your pup . . . . Airplane ? I would get the Pet Gear escort. It is well made and as netting but not too much netting so they feel too exposed. It wheels around and you can lay on the side to turn into a bed. Also the sherpa bag is great if you just want one to carry. To just walk around. I have a CeCe Kent which I love. But it is for a smaller dog. Jaraden is a great bag. Larger size.

| It's so interesting to see all these answers. I use to think that customer's liked a soft sided carrier better then a harder sided carrier but you guys are making me think differently. It really comes down to some people want structure, and others want real purses. Purses fall, that is what happens. It's hard to find the right mix of both. Kwigy-Bo Alex does that kind of I guess.

| I love the structured type of carrier-purses. I love my Jaraden Le Peiti Mon Ami as well as my other style, that has the coral zebra type detailing. Lots of secret vents that can be opened or closed as needed, can carry dogs into resturants, stores that do not allow dogs....great wide padded strap for shoulder carrying.....while some of us girls are NUTS over shoes and purses, my vice is Jaraden dog carriers!!! |

| I'm surprised color has the least amount of votes. If it has all the features but is a wack color, would you really buy it?

| to me it depends on the need, I have a sling and for walking around sometimes that's the easiest, but if I might go sit someplace to eat I need something with structure so it does not collapse. But LOL to much structure can also be do heavy to carry. I bought the real expensive Jarden black patent one, I think it was the Windsor, that thing had structure to spare but it was too heavy and a bit unbalanced so I gave it to Yorkie Haven to use in their auction. Now I have a soft sided one with structure that I bought at Home Goods and that is now my go to bag.
