| Your Yorkie Swallowed What??? What has your Yorkie swallowed that they should not have? They get into anything, anytime, anywhere. So, I would love for everyone to share their "tales" of when good yorkies have gone bad!!!

| Bailey ate my- probably, 2 inch long brown eyeliner pencil... of course I didn't know this...until I took him to my friends new house with her NEW LIGHT GRAY CARPET..and he had a Colon Blow.. .. in two BIG spots.... I couldn't figure out what caused it,,but, I did hear his stomach making noises on the way to her house,,but he wouldn't go OUTSIDE. Then I got home and found pieces of the eyeliner under the chair. So DONT LET THEM EAT EYELINER PENCILS.... lol

| Well, like all of you I have the same problem, my teddy likes to get into everything!! I think he was about 3mths old and I discovered a half eaten "save our troops" yellow rubber band. The next day, he started throwing up, and I got really worried. I ended up taking him to the vet, spending $140.00. The vet really didn't do anything, except take x-rays, and give him a couple shots so that he wouldn't throw up. About 1week later he pooped out the rubber band. |

| When Rowdy was about 4 months old, he was in our travel trailer up on the dinette seat (like a seat in a booth at a restaurant). He was raised up with his paws on the edge of the table, and I saw him out of the corner of my eye with what looked like something in his mouth. I grabbed him and it was gone - swallowed. I looked at the table and I thought, "oh well, there wasn't anything up there to hurt him". Then I remembered that I had put a paper clip on the table and now IT WAS GONE!!! I knew he had swallowed it. We called the vet who told us to put mineral oil on his food and give him bread and watch him for any signs of GI distress. So, we did that and I had to check his poop every time (yuk!). Anyway, I never did find it and he never acted like anything was wrong. So I just decided maybe he didn't swallow it. A few weeks later, when cleaning out my purse, there was a paperclip at the bottom. I remembered that my purse had been sitting in the booth beside Rowdy so I'm pretty sure that he picked up the paper clip off the table, but he dropped it in my purse! WHEW! A couple of weeks later, he grabbed one of my granddaughter's tiny little colored rubber bands (about the size of a dime) and swallowed it - I SAW him for sure this time. It came out in his poop the very next morning!

| While they were out supposed to be doing their business the other night, they found a dead frog to chew on and fight over. Needless to say, until they brushed, nobody wanted any kisses from them. I wonder why... They also chew every other thing in site (my wooden rockers, the rug, the antenna on my cell phone, etc...) We still love 'em though |

| Burial site.... OHHHHHHH.....this is easy to respond to... the TV remote! Yep, took it off the coffee table, and ran thru the doggie door, and parts everywhere...on the patio and in the lawn, even a burial ground for parts. I only found one battery, and I am sure the other one is buried. ANYTHING that falls on the floor...all her toys, chewies, etc. Sign me...mother of a "goat"! Chelsea'sMOM |
