When Rowdy was about 4 months old, he was in our travel trailer up on the dinette seat (like a seat in a booth at a restaurant). He was raised up with his paws on the edge of the table, and I saw him out of the corner of my eye with what looked like something in his mouth. I grabbed him and it was gone - swallowed. I looked at the table and I thought, "oh well, there wasn't anything up there to hurt him". Then I remembered that I had put a paper clip on the table and now IT WAS GONE!!! I knew he had swallowed it. We called the vet who told us to put mineral oil on his food and give him bread and watch him for any signs of GI distress. So, we did that and I had to check his poop every time (yuk!). Anyway, I never did find it and he never acted like anything was wrong. So I just decided maybe he didn't swallow it. A few weeks later, when cleaning out my purse, there was a paperclip at the bottom. I remembered that my purse had been sitting in the booth beside Rowdy so I'm pretty sure that he picked up the paper clip off the table, but he dropped it in my purse!

WHEW!
A couple of weeks later, he grabbed one of my granddaughter's tiny little colored rubber bands (about the size of a dime) and swallowed it - I SAW him for sure this time. It came out in his poop the very next morning!
