| Question for Southern California members Hi there! I was wondering if you would please let me know what the weather is typically like in Southern California in early December. I'm thinking of surprising my four year old nephew with a trip to Disneyland for Christmas. Any info that you can share with me would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

October is usually hot until Halloween, which is often the first cool day. From then on, it is usually pretty cool until just before Thanksgiving--about a week before. That is when the Santa Ana winds start, and it is hot and dry. The come off and on for a while, so I'm thinking you can count on warm windy weather for early December. It doesn't start getting really cold here, usually until the end of January. But Southern CA has been known to break the rules as far as weather goes. Last summer was extremely hot, and last winter was extremely long and cold. Clear as mud? | |

| I went with my neoce last December to Disneyland and we are form San Jose. It is about low 60's to mid 50's during the day, you can imagine how much cooler it is a night about upper 50's to low 40's. It's always tricky though, you never know when it will rain or pour! Either way the experience was amazing! I would love to go again this December. Hope that helps you out, somehow

You might want to bring a sweater if you plan on staying late. We have been going in December for the past 25 or so years. The only time we didn't have a good time was 4 years ago, we went in the summer with out of State friends, It was way too hot. If you go on a Wednesday, the lines are really short Have a great time! Don't forget your camera

| Thanks for much for the info, everyone! I will be sure to pack warm and cool clothing so that we are prepared for everything. I'm from Northern California and it usually doesn't rain much here in December, so I was hoping that the same was true of Southern California. Thanks again, and I will think of all of you while I am there. Take care!

| im not that far from disneyland.. like others said before, the weather sometimes has a mind of its own-but for the most part it is cool. I would dress in layers.. so you can wont be too hot or cold.(i have family up north-morgan hill/san jose/hollister) they tend to be much cooler than us, but i would say during the day usually 60's-low70's..and at night 40-50's(average) Like i said before-LAYERS, because at night it will most definatley be much colder!! But xmas time at disneyland is so neat-you will have so much fun-ENJOY!! if you need any other info. on fun things to do while you are here-let me know!!
