| Ways to make money Well I have been dying to go away on vacation, (Disney World), and I'm trying to convince hubby to say yes. We had made plans to go a few weeks ago but cancelled them earlier this year. I was crushed! We didn't get to go because of so much family health problems that I'm sure some of you remember from other posts. Well I am just dying to get away! I think it does everyone good to just get away. Hubby says we can't go because of Christmas gifts we will have to buy. That money is already pushed aside. I'm trying to sell some of our clothes that no longer fit us and clearing out junk I no longer use. Any other tips on money making or money saving? Thanks!

| Disney World is the best! I was just there last week, so I can understand why you would want to go! Why not use the Christmas gift money to pay for the vacation? I heard this idea on the radio last year.. thought it was a great idea. God knows the last thing most people, including kids, need is more STUFF. To make it even more special, you could go the week before Christmas.. a great week that normally isn't very busy. I went then last year and it was amazing. So amazing, that we are going again this year at that time. Last edited by BubblPopElectrc; 08-28-2007 at 08:25 AM. |

| I know we want to buy for our son, this is his first Christmas, but the money we would use on ourselves would be a pretty big chunk. When making Christmas lists hubby and I always have a hard time buying each other things because we just don't need anything. I just know he won't go for it.

Also if you look around, you may be able to find a discount code for your room (assuming that you'll be staying on property- which I highly recommend as you'll get extra magic hours, buses to and from the parks, and a few other benefits). I know there was one for October, but I think the date may have passed for having it booked. Check out www.disboards.com. | |

| Hubby said our son is two small to fly, at least that's what he said last time, something about the pressure to his ears would bother him and he would cry the whole way. I go on disboards all the time but I'm not a member, I just read. There are a lot of cool stuff there.
