Does anyone have a Pomeranian? I have been wanting another dog/puppy for a while & I just came across this Pom mix, http://search.petfinder.com/petnote/...?petid=8958831 ,at a local rescue. We have actually adopted a kitten from this rescue so we are hoping our chances are better that we can actually adopt him. I have done a little research on Pomeranian's after I saw him & it looks like they have the same basic issues that our Yorkies have. I was wondering if anyone has them and could maybe give me some more insight. Thanks, Desiree

I have friends that have poms, and they are the sweetest things. Rocky gets along with them all. They actually chase each other around and play really well together.

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I have a 10 year old pom and my experience with her is she is territorial and has bitten me several times she also barks like crazy. She is the smartest dog I have owned. She doesn't shed that bad but I have heard others are bad shedders. I love the look of the poms but because of my experience with Maya I don't think I would get another. I have had 5 yorkies and have not had these issues. However, Maya has gotten along with my 2 yorkies after being an only dog for 8 years. Also, she was from a petstore so bad breeding could be the problem. This is just my opinion. Maybe a mix would be good. Good luck he is a very pretty dog.

I had a pom years ago. Duffy puppy. He was the best little thing. He potty trained in two days! He barked only when someone knocked at the door. But he shed enough for 6 pups, expecially if he was afraid or stressed. He did not like thunder or fireworks. He'd crawl under the couch or under my shirt. LOL He got along well with all other dogs and loved my daughter when she was a baby. She'd "bark" at him and he'd open his mouth like he was going to bark but he only made a little "Heh" sound. It was so cute.

I had a black male pom years ago before I had children and he was my baby. He was a dollface. My mom had his sister and they both had amazing temperments. Mine didn't shed at all but lost his hair in clumps as he scratched which was great but my mom's shed some but not too bad. The one you are looking at is a cutie. He's a mix so you never know what you will get but like I said he looks adorable. Good luck!!!

I would like to thank you for your responses, they really helped alot. And also wanted to let you know that Leo, is now ours. So far Willy isn't really minding having him around, BUT the cats aren't really appreciating him, as he thought they were great fun to chase. Desiree
