I have a 10 year old pom and my experience with her is she is territorial and has bitten me several times she also barks like crazy. She is the smartest dog I have owned. She doesn't shed that bad but I have heard others are bad shedders. I love the look of the poms but because of my experience with Maya I don't think I would get another. I have had 5 yorkies and have not had these issues. However, Maya has gotten along with my 2 yorkies after being an only dog for 8 years. Also, she was from a petstore so bad breeding could be the problem. This is just my opinion. Maybe a mix would be good. Good luck he is a very pretty dog.
