| What do you feel would be fair with shipping included in the price? Just looking for opinions. Thanks.

My furkids Donating Member | This kinda of irritates me.......... Years ago, when I was a "younger" girl, you could get a mixed breed for nothing...If the neighbors beagle got the other neighbors pug it wasn't called a "puggle" it was called a mutt (sorry I know some on here don't like this term) and, you got it for FREE! now they intentionally mix different breeds and call them "designer" breeds and put a hefty price tag on them..Just another way to rip people off..Don't get me wrong! I absolutely LOVE the golden doodles! I wouldn't mind owning one myself but, I would never pay the price they ask for them...Most of these designer breeds are selling for the same price as the pedigree dogs...I just think it's insane! | I really think if you want a mix breed dog you should rescue one from a shelter. They are so over crowded and need loving homes.

| I paid 350.00 for my shih poo. I fell in love with my best friends shih poo. I got him from the same people she got hers from. He's been very healthy and he is truly a joy. I agree that people should look to shelters first. If I'd have known as much about them as I do now I would have, but then I wouldn't have the wonderful babies I have now. Although I've seen some rescue dogs that they want 400.00 for. That may be because of vet bills, though. As long as ignorant people will pay that kind of money for "designer dogs" (although I am a fan of poo mixes), I'm afraid we won't get very far trying to educate people to go to shelters. I'll never understand how prices can get that high for pet quality babies.

| Alycia It is ok I think they were talking like you ,and just say that is a HUGE price for a dog with no pedigree. I could see charging for the cost of what the vet care was of the mom and getting care for pups but not for profit. and shipping is about 250.00 on a plaine I think. My furkids Donating Member | Oh Alycia! I hope you don't think I was offended! I wasn't offended in the least. All I meant was that I feel they ask way to much for these mix breeds when, years ago, they were given them away. I really feel they take advantage of people asking such high prices.. I think some of the designer breeds are adorable. I am truly sorry if I made you think I was offended.
