I paid 350.00 for my shih poo. I fell in love with my best friends shih poo. I got him from the same people she got hers from. He's been very healthy and he is truly a joy. I agree that people should look to shelters first. If I'd have known as much about them as I do now I would have, but then I wouldn't have the wonderful babies I have now. Although I've seen some rescue dogs that they want 400.00 for. That may be because of vet bills, though. As long as ignorant people will pay that kind of money for "designer dogs" (although I am a fan of poo mixes), I'm afraid we won't get very far trying to educate people to go to shelters. I'll never understand how prices can get that high for pet quality babies.
