I Love Thor Donating Member | Can ya'll assist me? I'm applying for another job, and I need some help composing a cover letter. "You must have excellent people skills and strong communication abilities, both oral and written to work in this fast-growing, fun, and professional office environment." What are some other words for "excellent people skills and strong communication abilities"? I hate this stuff!! |

| Okay I can help ya! I'm the queen of applying for jobs. If you want I can email you my cover letters. Let me know I think you can put those words in your cover letter followed with some specific examples such as......."highly demonstrated people skills through excellent customer service (if you have worked in customer service) and strong communication skills demonstrated by enthusiastic public speaking (if you have done public speaking), customer service and active listening." That was a quick idea, hope it helps you out. GOOD LUCK |

My Tiny Treasures Donating Member | Good luck in your new job !!!! I work in the staffing industry and I interview people all day! I can tell you what I look for in a resume.... I like it to be EASY to read - not all compiled together. I don't need a 5 page resume, its best to keep it to one to two pages, so it can be read quickly. Do not include any personal date (e.g., age, health, marital status) List your last employer first with info such as dates of employement, Name and location (city and state) of employer, Job title and specific job details. A nice clean, easy to read resume always catches my eye first I hope you get the job !!!! |

Banning Thread Dictator Donating Member | Here one option for ya, not that you need our help. I was delighted to see that you place a high value on people skills and communication abilities, as I consider those areas to be strengths. In past work situations and in recent travels through Europe and the United States, I've discovered that clear, concise communication is invaluable to solving problems in the workplace and beyond.
