| For my Dad who said goodbye one year ago tonight: The Fallen Snow Sorrow and snow are white The same on a winter's night That fall, but sphere's apart on fields and on the heart. The fallen snow makes strange A known and narrow range Where eminences lost To vision, snow-embossed Above the whitened plain, Stand into sight again. Sorrow and snow fall white The same on the winter's night. Bryon Herbert Reece I miss you Daddy.

| Losing a parent is tough you never get over it, I have just found a new way to live. I lost my mom 5 years ago to breast cancer. ONe of my favorites: God swa she was getting tired, and saw a cure was not to be: So he put His arms around her, and Whispered "Come with me" With tearful eyes we watched her suffer, and saw her fade away; Although we loved her dearly, We could not make her stay. A golden heart stopped beating, Hard working hands to rest: God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best

| Thanks everyone. This has been a hard day. I spent most of the day mindlessly netting, trying not to think about last year. To those who have lost one parent or both, my sympathy. To those who still have one or both parents, make lots of memories!

| RRC: Forgot to tell you last night when I posted in response to yours. I thought your poem was really nice. I am sorry that you lost your Dad. I know how hard that is. Your poem about the snow, so reminded me of my Dad. He was always there for me to drive me to work when it snowed, cause he knew I didn't like to drive in it. Your Dad will always remain in your heart and the great memories you have of him will help to give you peace. Take Care... Rudys Mom (Dawn) |
