Donating YT 3000 Club Member | I Would Like To Share My Story... Hi everybody! I know that you guys don't know much about me, so I decided to tell my story (I'll try to make it short). Now that Christmas is coming and we are all thinking about nice thing we always remember that miracles can happen. Well, a miracle happened in my life about 10 years ago. I was 14 years old and on vacation with my family on the beach. We were playing in the water and I jumped from my dad's shoulders into to sea. I don't know how, but I hit chin with the botton of the sea and I broke my neck. Suddenly, I couldn't feel my body! The lifeguard came, they took me to the hospital, they did an MRI, and the doctor came with a terrible diagnostic. I broke the 5th cervical bone, they didn't know to what extent the spine was damaged, but it was probable I was going to be a cuadriplegic all my life. After surgery to fuse the bones and a recovery period, they took my to a rehabilitation center. The doctor weren't able to tell me if I was going to recover movement of a a lot, a little, or anything at all. So we all started to pray for a miracle, that was they only thing we could do. And it happened... I remember so cleary when I was looking at my left foot toe and suddenly it moved!!!! It was just a tiny movement, but after that I knew God started to answer our prayers. To make it short, after 3 months on the clinic I was walking using a walker. I went from a walker to crutches, then 1 crutch, then a cane, then nothing!!! The accident happened at the end of February and by the end of the year I could walk without any help. Today, I still limp a little bit when I walk, I'm still working on that, but after thinking about all of the things I went through, it's minimal. You know, they first thing that came to my mind when I was lying on the sand on that beach waiting for the ambulance, without feeling my body, was "I won't be able to get married, or have children, or do anything!". All these happened when I was living in Argentina, where I am from. I came to the US 7 years ago and I went to high school for my senior year. I was able to get a scholarship and I went to college and got a Bachelor's degree in Accounting. I got married last year, I have a job, and I have a yorkie . And probably in a year or two I will have kids. God has been good to me. I'm very thankful for giving me all of these blessings. Thank you guys for listening and remember that NOTHING is impossible for God! God Bless you!!!! |

| What an amazing story. I'm very happy for you. God bless you and your family. This same exact thing happened to my cousin, Robert ... except it wasn't the beach. He dove into his in-ground pool at his parents house. It happened almost 6 years ago and he still isn't walking. He did (thank god) get feeling in his upper body back (neck, hands, etc.) but he cannot move his lower body.
