| Crock Pot? How many of you use a crock pot? Do you put stuff in the morning and let it cook all day while you are at work? I want to do that, but I'm worried that something will happen that will cause a fire. Have you had any problems?

| I love my crock pot and use it all the time! It is great when we have some sport practice or scouts. Dinner is ready when I am home and then we can head off to where ever I have to be. Never had any problems with my crock pot.

Donating YT 7000 Club Member | I read the title of this thread as "crack pot" ROFL. Anyway. When my parents use their crock pot, if something is frozen it's in about 8 hours, if it's fresh they leave it in about 6.

| I LOVE my crock pot!!! I use it all the time. It's so convenient! I'll put a roast, or chicken paprikas together and come home and have a delicious dinner waiting for us! I also like to put frozen chicken breasts (low-6-8 hr) with some seasonings, and then when I come home I shred it and add taco seasoning and make chicken burrito's. I also will put pork chops w/potatoes (lots of seasonings) and I have the most tender pork chops EVER!!! If you're going to leave it all day (6-8 hours) make sure you're meat is still frozen/partially frozen. If not, the thawed/fresh meat will soak up all the moisture/juice and your meat will dry out/burn, and your house will stink for a week. |

| Incase you have busy mornings, you can put frozen meat on low the night before and it is ready at dinner the next evening. Just be sure to put in plenty of water and make sure nothing flammable is next to it. Teri

| I have cooked with a crockpot for 35 years. Usually the only thing that happens, is that when they go out, you end up with raw food, that has been in the pot all day. Never had a fire. |

| I have used a crockpot for many many years too - I don't cook very much any more, so I don't have many recipies - but you can google crock pot soup or crock pot dressing or crock pot (anything) and you will get loads of recipies. Also, there are crock pot cookbooks. Someone mentioned the Marie Calendars crock pot dinners - they are VERY yummy!!!
