I LOVE my crock pot!!!
I use it all the time. It's so convenient! I'll put a roast, or chicken paprikas together and come home and have a delicious dinner waiting for us!
I also like to put frozen chicken breasts (low-6-8 hr) with some seasonings, and then when I come home I shred it and add taco seasoning and make chicken burrito's.
I also will put pork chops w/potatoes (lots of seasonings) and I have the most tender pork chops EVER!!!
If you're going to leave it all day (6-8 hours) make sure you're meat is still frozen/partially frozen. If not, the thawed/fresh meat will soak up all the moisture/juice and your meat will dry out/burn, and your house will stink for a week.
