| Need Help w/ Halloween Costume Okay, I need help....I am in a creative slump..... I have always made Halloween Costumes for my daughter and our pets - something that matches and goes with each other, but I am at a lost right now...... My daughter was originally going to be a Geisha Girl (sp) this year and Mojo was going to be a dragon, but now, my daughter has a new costume she put together - a Roaring 20's Flapper Girl.......see picture below.....it is really cute and she looks cute in it, BUT now I can't think of anything for Mojo to be that would go with it. Does anyone have anything thoughts? I am almost to the point of just buing something from the store.... Thanks! Project9sm.jpg Project8sm.jpg

| Here's some links regarding Flapper Girls Roaring 20's considered the Jazz Age...where young girls started expressing themselves (wearing make-up, which was only for prostitutes and actresses, cutting their hair, letting loose, etc)..... http://www.geocities.com/flapper_culture/ http://history1900s.about.com/od/1920s/a/flappers.htm http://www.assumption.edu/users/McCl...rFlappers.html http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flapper

| maybe you could make him a suit that a young man of the 20's might have worn out dancing, you know the slacks and suspenders (maybe thats too much work, i have no clue how to sew) they can be partners. |

Ohhh.....that sounds cute! I don't think that would be too hard to make either! Did they just wear a short sleeve white short? Did they have a hat? Boy, I have a lot of research to do....... Thanks for the thoughts.....back to my search.......

| Do you think the white boa is okay? We didn't know if we needed a white or black one..... Also, should the hand piece be black? We didn't want too much black - although it does have the black feather. If we leave the boa white, it might go good if we did Mojo in a white tee with black suspenders and black pants. Boy, I just need to keep looking for ideas! Project9sm.jpg

| I really like the white I think too much black would look too depressing IMO. She looks really pretty in that dress. Like a movie star Last edited by Marcellacml; 10-03-2006 at 09:26 PM. |
