I am not certain their exact description, but they were dancers back in the 1920's......They wore the frilly dresses - like a slip dress with rows of fringe dangling down (that moved when they danced) - not sure what their dance style was called....something like a jig or something??

I can't think of the movie right now, but if you google it, you will come up with something.....or maybe someone else can explain it.
