Default good deed for the day!

Yesterday I was driving and saw that BP had raised gas to 2.99 a gallon, and I was on E so I rushed to Kroger cause I had the 10 cents off, well it was still 2.64, so I whipped in and started filling up and I looked at the truck behind me and I asked him if he had a Kroger card with 10 cents off? he said no, I said well would you like to get your gas for 2.54? he was like.. SURE! so I filled up and had my daughter hold the nozzle while I pulled my van up and he pulled in and filled up!
I figured if they are gonna skrew us then we mise well skrew them!

I like that.

I think what we need to do is to boycott some of the largest oil companies, and then they'll be forced to bring their prices down, and then the others will have to follow. It's really time that the conxumer take matters into our own hands, seeing ax the ggovernfment and the oil comapnaies sleep in the same beds

People say this all the time, but it won't work....not like you think. We work for major oil companies. If you boycott...say....Exxon.....Exxon will not lose any money....they then sell off their excess to other oil companies. They buy and sell product between themselves all the time. A boycott wouldn't cause any oil company to lose any money. No gas boycott would be effective....even if we didn't buy gas/oil from ANYONE for a SINGLE day. The day after...it's business as usual.

And coming to Exxon's defense or any oil company, but when profits are posted....the media is not telling you whether it's gross profit or net profit. My company had a gross profit of close to a million, but our net profit (after expenses) was far, far less than that. Just something to consider....
