| Dvd I was wondering if any of you guys use DVD burning software. I have been looking at some on ebay and froogle.com. I don't want to buy it if it isn't worth the money. Please let me know if you have had any experience with any DVD software!

| I use Nero for DVD burning (http://ww2.nero.com/nero7/enu/Products.html). Here's another pretty good DVD burning program, which may be a bit simpler to use: http://www.roxio.com/en/products/emc/index.jhtml Is this the kind of thing you were looking for? |

I'm guessing if you buy and external DVD drive, it will come with the software that is required. My comp has a DVD burner but I have never used it. | |

| Thanks Guys for your replies. I found some software I am interested in on Ebay. Now everyone can answer this question. I am thinking about starting a mini-buisness. Where-if I bought all this stuff- I would make slideshow dvd's of anything for any of people-of your dogs, kids, vacations-whatever. For around $5-10?? (plus S & H). Would any of you be interested????? Just so I can get an idea if it would be worth it. Because it would be a good second income....

| I've had my home computer for over a year and JUST this past week figured out how to use my DVD burner. I managed to get an hour's worth of video off my video camera, onto the comp and then to a DVD. I had room left over on the disk so I made a slide show of Pixie pictures set to music. It has a menu and title screens and everything. It rocks!! When I get home I'll try to remember to post what software it is I used. It came with the comp... I'd guess if you bought the computer with the DVD burner in it already, it came with software. (Mine did, I just had to dig for the disk to install it). sarahr... It took me a good couple hours to get it onto the comp and edited to where I wanted it. I'm sure once I get a better handle on it, it'll go faster. Better software would probably help too... But $10 for 2 + hours of my time (plus the blank DVD and any wear/tear on the comp) isn't enough. JMHO. It's a good idea though! |

| Yeah I am Looking @ Sony Vegas Software. It looks decent and it isn't a cheap-can't-do-anything either. It runs about $100, but I am excited because there is a DVD burner with lightscribe on ebay and it is $50 cheaper than walmart. Yeah i didn't know how much I would charge-I haven't done anything yet-so i dont really know how much work and effort it takes

| Is the Lightscribe the one that can actually burn a picture onto the disk? What's the retail on those? You have to get special disks for those too, right? They look SO cool, but I'd imagine it's a bit more than I'm willing to pay. My Sharpie has always worked well enough to label CDs..... But I suppose if I was going to make a business of it I'd have to get something that looks a little more pro! |

| You can get a burner at Walmart for 120-130 dollars. The cd's for them average about a $1 each they come in a 10 pack for $10, but you can get them on ebay sometimes cheaper.
