| ebay I was just wondering if anyone ever sells anything on ebay and if you have any luck selling. I was wondering if this is a good way to make extra money.

I Love Thor Donating Member | I think it's hit or miss on ebay. What are you thinking of selling? It costs so little that I think it is worth a try, and if it doesn't work out, at least you know... |

| I have been selling scrapbook stuff on ebay for about a year. It isn't an easy buck. It is fun...but I have scaled way down. The best part is that since I know how...I sell a bunch of stuff I may have just thrown out...or given away. I have sold a few electronics and toys. I love to buy stuff on ebay. It really isn't hard to sell...it is just a time consuming process from beginning to end. I didn't make as much as I set out to.

| Ebay can be addictive just like YT - I usually have them up at the same time! LOL I took an ebay class from a cetified trainer in Oct. and it really helped me learn quickly a lot of ins and outs. My trainer is in his 30s and gave up his professional career to do ebay full-time 3 or 4 yrs ago. I didn't really get serious until Dec. - which was good timing before Christmas. I'm mainly selling New items - books, DVDs, Precious Moments right now. I hope to expand into other stuff soon - my house needs a good cleaning out!! I made over $500 in Dec. I did about $215 in Jan and so far this month I've made $300. The worst thing is if you start buying stuff - I've bought way toooo many Precious Moments ornaments that were missing from my collection (I'll have to get another tree!!) Also, bought things for the furbabies - if you're going to sell focus on that and don't get tempted by shopping. I would recommend that if you can find a class or someone to give you good pointers that would be helpful or take your time reading all the good tutorial info at Ebay. I'm ready for an advanced class. Selling on ebay can be time consuming. You do get faster, I was slow at first and still learning. |

| I've browsed and bought a few things a few years back, but have never sold. I just thought you might be interested, though, that we've had a couple of "Ebay Stores" open up around here. I've never actually gone in one and checked it out, but my thought was that you bring your stuff in and they do the work for you. Maybe someone else can tell you more.

| Unless you have big ticket items you want to sell, I would avoid going to the ebay stores to have them do your work. They're in business - they are going to take some of your $. With ebay you pay a fee to list - learn where the cut offs are (I'm amazed how I will see someone list something for $10, instead of $9.99 - a $10 listing fee is .60, where the $9.99 only costs .35) Of course, ebay gets kind of a commission fee off whatever your listing sells for and then if you use the paypal option accepting credit card payments - that costs more money. I work a full-time job and just doing it to help pay for things I want or for my daughter's expensive hobbies! But the paper I write for ran a story this fall about all the folks doing it full-time. I think that would be wonderful! |

| I sell on ebay uk for about 5 months of the year. I make doggie coats and when it cold or raining they sell really well. But when i started there was only 3 sellers seling dog coats but now the competion is high with around 30 sellers seliing pretty much same thing. Again it is addictive and can take up a lot of your time. I'm not selling at the mo as i'm too busy on YT LOL

| Yeah, Im addicted to eBay! I sold a couple of things last month for the first time, a cake stand and a pair of shoes (random, I know). Anyway, they both sold and I got more than what I paid for them so I was happy Just have a go and see |

| I like to shop on ebay, but have never sold anything on there. I have had success with selling something on craigslist. Free advertising!!

Donating YT 10K Club Member | I sell but not on a continuous basis. Some items do better than others. I've never lost money on any of my auctions. I've sold Longaberger items, girl's clothing, antique bowls, halloween costumes, and books. A girl's coat that I originally paid 22 bucks for...sold for 38, the halloween costume cost 15 bucks originally....sold for 36. Bought a smoking jacket at the thift store for 3 bucks, sold that for $40. All brought far more than I could've gotten in a yard sale. I love buying on eBay. Buy quite a few Christmas gifts there. If I'm looking for something....eBay's the first place I look

| I am always selling and buying on ebay. I find it great..Pretty much everything I have listed sells, may not be for a ton but stuff i list that i dont think will bring very much will bring tons. I had some OLD picture frames and the glass was out of them. They brought 367.00. I was expecting maybe 40.00. Im actually getting ready to nose dive in and spend about 1000.00 on merchandise this weekend.....to turn around sell everywhere. Wish me luck! |

| I love eBay.........I have bought and sold for five years or so. I normally just sell now, but will come across something that I just have to have or that is a lot cheaper on there then around here. I have sold everything from yard sale finds to girls clothing to Disney Movies to Discovery Toys. I have done well with everything. Some items go like hot cakes and others might not sell the first time you list, but will more than likely sell the next time. I normally rotate my items, so that what doesn't sell will come back up for sell soon, but not right after it was already on. My toys are the big bread winners, so to speak.......but I have had luck with so many different items, you just never know what someone is looking for. My daughter and I stay at home and we have had fun searching through yard sales, estate sales, flea markets, outlets, etc. The fees are not bad, or I don't think, but it is time consuming...even if you download their turbo list program. You have to take pictures and fill out all the information and item descriptions and then answer questions, send invoices, etc. Not too bad though. I do not work, so it is good income for me.....it is like any other "job" you have to work your business to make money at it. Anything Yorkie goes fast! Really anything like dog clothes, scrapbooking, toys and children's clothes seem to always be moving. Good luck!
