| need advise-rescue dog I have had this rescue for a year now and I love her very much. I want the best for her but I don't think she is happy at my house. she is doing pretty good with potty training but about once a month she screws up. Like today I was getting her ready to go out ...putting one her one piece fleece suit and while I was dressing her she started to poop. I had to stop dressing her and quickly put on her harness to take her out mean while she is only 3/4 dressed. It is situations like these that I call (for lack of a better term) screw ups. I am old now and should be retired but still have to work. I need some rest form stress myself. I want only the very best for this dog (she is about 3 and 1/2 yrs old, about 10lbs and is a Rat terrier Chiwawa mix) Very cute and sweet. I think she would be happiest with someone who could give her all their attention and she deserves it ...to be more pampered and the center of someone's life. I do love her but with working and my 16yr old Yorkie GiGi, I don't think this is the best for Gwen (my rescue). GiGi is t an age where she really needs me. I can go on about Gwen but this is a good start..beside I am at work and al ready wrote a post that bombed.. need suggestions and advise. Love and hugs Tina

| I wish my pups would only have an accident once/month. I honestly don't have any advice except to say that it sounds like you want to get rid of her. If so, I hope you are very careful in placing her...I would urge you to consider rescue. IF you got her from a rescue group, you should contact them for assistance. I don't know any rescues in your area. Wish our group had foster homes close to you, but we don't.

| [QUOTE=ladyjane;4747263]I wish my pups would only have an accident Hi Ladyjane. Been home sick with a cold...still. really if it was only once I would be very.concerned about her health not her lack of obiedence, lol. After being crate trained for 6 months I expect a more consistent potty habit. But every time I get fed up with.her I learn.something new about her. She must have.been.trained to eat before going out. So we switched her eating habits and I am getting a.more predictable out come. Not only that but.now she goes.right in my yard where I cleared away flowers and put down gravel. So in this really bad weather we don't have to go far. I really do lover and care about this dog and would not give her back.to the shelter. .....I would only give her.up.if.i.found the PERFECT family that could treat her.like the Princess that she.is For me the timing is not there but she stays protected and loved with me.till her Prince comes along. I just read a couple of months ago that someone rehomed a dog to a perfect situation only yo find out that the dog died the first night away from her old home. Horrors this.person was.totally devestated...I would be too. That's what makes rehoming so difficult you don't know how the dog will react. Thanks for your thoughts Tina
