| Northern CA Earthquake Northern California earthquake strongest in 25 years - CNN.com Hope all northern CA/ Napa yorkietalkers are ok! I had a dream the other night, it was fuzzy in my memory when I woke up, but I was scrambling to get my furry buddies safe, safe from some sort of mother nature's fury. I was in the La Habra/Fullerton EQ last April which was a 5.1...it was scary, so much damage!

| Interesting: I am attending the YTCA Roving Event in St Louis this week. They published this: DOG EVACUATION PROCEDURES 1. In the case of a fire or other evacuation, have a king sized pillowcase nearby. Place as many dogs as possible in the pillow case and twist the top. This will enable you to carry them out of the building safely. There is no chance of suffication tomthendogs inside the case. 2. It is a good idea to keep a few leads inside the case. When you reach the outside you have some way to keep control of the animals. 3. Do not endanger your life one the lives do others in your room by spending time searching for your dogs. If they are properly penned or crated, you should be able to gather them quickly and easily.

| We had a little tremor last night in San Pedro area (So Cal).. Some of my friends felt it, but I didn't..... I think the entire state of CA just always needs to be prepared.. Now they are talking about investing in an early warning system for the entire state... I wonder how that would work out. |

| My DIL in Morgan Hill didn't feel a thing, but her mom who was visiting friends in the bay area said it shook her so bad she couldn't get out of bed correctly. I'm still waiting to hear from my son and his wife who live in San Francisco.

| Many felt it here in San Jose, about 2 hours south of Napa, but, strangely, I slept through it. P-Nut woke me at 3:25, though, so I'm sure he felt it (time of eq was 3:22). Friends and business partner in the Napa area are very shaken up, but ok. They lost some knick-knacks and dishes. There was significant damage to some of the historic buildings in Napa, unfortunately. Most injuries to humans were minor (only around 17 admitted to hospital out of a couple hundred that went to the ER). No deaths, 1 person still critical last I heard. Scary, but it's our only really large quake in 25 years. |
