| I'm embarrassed for them!!! awwwww my poor babies... they went to the groomer yesterday and we told them to give them a summer cut. Well it was a different women than the usual and she shaved their bodies, which is fine... but she also shaved their faces/heads! Its the WORST haircut ever!!! I hate it!!! They are all ears now, Ive never realized my dogs (in almost 9 years!) have such large ears!!! I'm not one to be mad about a bad haircut mainly bc in 2 months it will be grown out again so it does not matter, maybe I'll eek 3 months out of this stupid cut now! But man oh man, I DO NOT want this groomer doing their cuts ever again! She clearly does not know what a typical yorkie cut (head wise) should look like! I hope my boys are not scarred for life! LOL I had 2 friends tell me they saw a show recently and it was mentioned that dogs know when they have a bad haircut and need you to speak positive to them and be happy and not tell them how silly they look. Not sure my boys really actually understand that, but I'm trying not to laugh at how awful this cut is. I want to say "My, what big ears you have!" I'll have to take pics!

| Oh my goodness, I would be livid if someone cut all of Huey's hair off his head and face. I was terribly angry the only time someone ever trimmed his ears and he was only 3 months old then. you sure are taking it a whole lot better than I would. Bless those little pups! I hope they grow out soon!

| I must say,,, your taking it a hell of a lot better than me! When I took my Gus in for a summer haircut they shaved him down as well. I even took in a picture of what I wanted to be done. If he wasn't so excited to see me when they brought him out to me I wouldn't have not recognized him. All I wanted to do is cry! He was only 3 1/2lbs and it looked as if a quarter of his weight was his ears. From that day on I had to learn to do it myself. Not that I didn't mess up a few times but nothing like the hack job they did. Just last month I cut a big chunk off of Leiloni's facial hair and was scared that I messed up really bad but it actually came out really cute after some blending. It does grow back just like you said.

| Geez, that's just terrible. I would also be soooo mad. I guess it helps if you are very specific about what you want, obviously the word summer cut or puppy cut means different things to different groomers. One time a groomer did similar to that to my mini Schnauzer.... and I gotta tell you a Schnauzer without a beard and eyebrow visors is just plain wrong. I do think dogs reflect on your reaction in looking at them, so just give them lots of love and praise and tell them how beautiful they are. These stories always make me happy I groom my own.

| They look like robot dogs with their eyes... but tell me, with these cuts, do they even look like Yorkies anymore?

| Well, they are very cute little robots, haha But seriously, I would be screaming mad and would at least demand a full refund. I can understand cutting them short on the back/body (I personally prefer this anyway), but there is absolutely no reason to cut the face hair and beard that short. Grrr.

| To me they look like 2 lil cuties, I agree, it would be a shock to me if I pick up my pups and the cut was what I considered awful. One good thing, at least hair grows back. AND they do know when they are not looking "all that pretty" they get that from OUR REACTION. Many years ago I had a poodle, I dropped her off at a new groomer, told him what I wanted. My (then) husband picked her up, when she came home I screamed OMG, WTF did they do to my dog. She was shaved to the skin, and UGLY, she had a beautiful face which was now shaved to the skin. my pup ran in to the bedroom and under the bed. She darn well new she was no longer the "pretty girl" It took me hours to coax her out from under that bed. A lesson for me for LIFE, NEVER show your baby your disappointment for a bad hair cut, they do know lol. To this day, if I am not happy about the cut, I make sure I tell the groomer, but I do the happy dance for my baby.
