| Identity theft.... got me, three days before Christmas and I have not one credit card, and can not access my bank account...uggggghhhhh Apparently it started with me using my credit card at HOME GOODS, and apparently this isn't the first time TJ Maxx has had this problem...If you have used your credit card there lately you might want to do some checking... For obvious reasons I don't want to give a ton of details, safe to say its been a devastating hit on my credit and shopping...wth??? ugggghhhhhhhh

| Oh, no! One more hit for you, Lynzy. It's been a hard time for you here lately. Goodness. It's time for things to start looking up a little bit for you, huh? Let's hope and pray that you can get this straightened out and have a fun and Merry Christmas in spite of everything. I just got hit with a $915.00 dental procedure plus the antibiotics, special mouthwash I need done January 15th when I should be using that $ to pay Christmas credit card charges. Well, it's going to be a tight winter and spring! Ever notice how something icky always happens at holiday time?

| You have GOT to be kidding! Is NOTHING safe??? That is why I keep my credit cards charged up to the max!!! There is nothing left for them to use!!! Just kidding!!! But it makes for a good argument on why to load up your cards!.....not really.....I am weaning myself completely OFF credit cards and use PayPal exclusively. Where do you start to fix this lynzy??? I heard about TJ Max having this issue awhile back....good luck with getting this rectified....I have a list and steps of what you do in this event, taped inside my kitchen cabinet. I am up feeding Karina and making sure baby girl is doing well....pm me if you need this information, and tomorrow I will email you what it says to do! Good luck linzy....I hate this happened to you! | Just got back from the credit union...This is what I was told: Visa reported to them that my information was compromised through TJMAXX. I still don't know how they do it when I have always retained possession of my card(s)...anyways, whoever was racking up bills in California. They were also trying to obtain credit cards in my name through various stores etc., the Credit Union immediately suspended my accounts and reported it to the credit bureaus on my behalf. (I know everyone at the Credit Union)...so thank God for them, but then all the credit cards I have cancelled my accounts...and so forth. Because of the "banking days" and "business days" I won't have a new debit card until atleast Thursday...so I am screwed, so to speak. Instead of worrying, I have officially cancelled Christmas gifting! (Not so bad). I will be spending the day contacting all my utilities, insurance etc., as today is the day the payments were to be paid. I have everything linked to my debit card. Also, I have to sit with them this afternoon and go through my entire statement (which I can no longer see online because it was closed) to verify what is and what isn't mine. That shouldn't be to hard...NOT...I use that card for everything...anyways, I suppose it could be worse. OMG, Kathy what a pain in the arse, did they close all your accounts too?

| I hate AT&T with a passion that is practically unsurpassed. I am very seriously thinking of just doing without a landline so I can NEVER hopefully have to deal with them again. Never.

| Oh no!! I'm so sorry!! Make sure you file a report with the FTC, credit bureaus, and police. I had identity theft happen to me 2 years ago and it's ridiculous the work WE have to go thru to prove who WE are and are not...and to ensure it doesn't snowball on credit reports and such. It's like being a victim twice. Hang in there!

| oh Lynzy that just sucks, I shop at those places regular, I just bought stuff at Marshalls today and TJMaxx yesterday. What type of credit card did they access was it a debit visa or a credit card visa. I only use their store card since they seem to send out gift cards as rewards, I just got a $10 one the other day. It's scary thinking how vunerable we all are, I have also been noticing stores are asking to see ID much more often now, but of course it sounds like the big scams are on line

| Yes we are vulnerable, I just never knew how deeply it went. I never lost my card etc., its always been in my possession and yet this can still happen? Crazy. It was a Visa Debit card. I've done some research and apparently TJMAXX has had issues with their card in the past as well. I don't know, aside from carrying cash, what else we can do to protect ourselves.
