| Money Saving Ideas Please post your ideas that will save fellow Yorkie Talkers money as we all could use some extra. I'll start. I used to spend $45 on dog grooming and $25 for my husband's haircuts every 8 weeks which worked out to almost $500 a year. My husband bought a Flowbee 6 months ago and now cuts his own hair along with our Yorkie Brandy, who has always had a puppy cut. For those of you who don't know what a Flowbee is, it is an attachment to a vacuum cleaner that sucks the hair out and cuts it. I do cut Brandy's face and ears with scissors, but other than that, it works great. She looks better than when she went to the groomers and she is a lot happier.

| I am a convenience shopper (I know TERRIBLE of me!) but my mom is really good with finding ways to save money. She buys all her paper products from the factory, wholesale, so she gets cases of TP, tissues and Papertowels for super cheap money.

| Interesting to know about Flowbee. I had to google to find out what it is. I groom my Yorkie myself as well over the past 6 years so I think I have saved a considerable amount there. I do have to bring him in for nailcuts but that is very manageable. I shop for my Yorkie's winter coats from Winners so I save quite a good amount as well for nice quality coats. I homecook alot so we save a lot there too.

| How do you find out about the factories where you get all your paper products wholesale? This would be a great help to the budget!! I go through hundreds of rolls of Brawney paper towels! |

| I am not sure.... she lives in New Mexico, and I live in New Hampshire, so I never got into details. I can ask her and let you know though!

| I've used a robo-cutter (another type of flobee haircutter) for years on my wheaten terrier - saved thousands $ , she is 12 years old. Used it on my two boys when they were little, too! |

| I buy all my meat from Zaycon....y'all need to read about this and check it out...I first saw it on TV here...then read about it and signed up...the meat is FABULOUS!!! and priced wholesale! It was 3 guys that dreamed this up when they tried to think of ways to save themselves/families $$$$ on groceries...they developed the concept and now they deliver wholesale all over the USA! As a matter of fact, I have to go pick up my HAM and bacon (3 of us are splitting an order of the bacon, since I just really use it to cook in beans, and okra, etc) Got my chicken breasts last month....and they are delivering Alaskan Sock Eye Salmon and cod filets next month....www.zaycon.com....or it may be zayconfoods.com....you can google Zaycon foods and read all about it! |

| Here is the link....https://www.zayconfoods.com/refer/zf78039. I dont know how to do that so all you do is click on it and it goes...you may have to copy and paste that in that box at the top of the page and it will take you to the Zaycon site. If you use this link, it will give me a dollar off each for any referrals....At least read up on it...it is really good meat and the price can not be beat! |
