| What should I make for my bff's baby shower? I couldn't make it to her shower. I still have not sent anything. I wanted to make her something. I made her wedding album with a cross stitch pattern from her wedding invitations. I think I want to make her something again for her boy. I don't want to just buy her something. What should I make? I can sew, knit and crochet. What does a baby need? I have no idea!

| those crochet baby boy newsboy hats with a cute side button are ADORABLE! i'd LOVE One for my newborn son when he comes. minky blankets with satin ribbon binding from Wrights are an easy sew and super cute and you can tie quilt them by hand. knited hats, booties, and diaper covers are great!! baby crochet newsboy hat on Etsy, a global handmade and vintage marketplace. minky and satin baby blanket on Etsy, a global handmade and vintage marketplace. Hope that gives ya ideas! I also love changing pad and car seat covers and shopping cart covers. Simplicity makes a pattern that includes all three things. |

My furkids Donating Member | How about making him a quilt with "taggies" on it...and a pillow embroidered with his name on it..OR you could wait until after he's born and put the date, weight and length on it too

| If you don't already have a knitting loom I would suggest getting one! I got one over the weekend in less than two days I made a really nice six foot long scarf. You could easily make a baby blanket in a couple of days. I also suggest double knitting on it. It came out really nice and its my new favorite hobby.

My advice, don't crochet any clothes items. Booties are cool, and cute, but everything else is really stiff and impractical. Baby blankets are cool. I still have mine my mom made for me.

| Babies like to rub them between their fingers. It sorta soothes them . Some like the satin around the edges of some blankets.

| cotton fabric for a burp cloth would be useful. never have enough burp cloths. or maybe you can do a fleece tie blanket. those are great to lay over an infant car seat in the wintertime and great to wrap baby in when it's bigger and COLD outside. |

| I kinda wanna make her something that not just anyone can make. Those tie blankets don't seem special enough. I don't know what to do. She is the first out of our HS friends to get married and having a kid. Ideally, I'd like something done by the time the kid in born LOL.

| hmm. what about a beautiful quilt. you can get some cute patterns in joanne's and other stores and they aren't that big for a baby so a quicker quilt than others. they also have these little "lovies" that are a tiny blanket with a stuffed animal head on them. Animal Lovies and Animal Security Blankets for Baby also a personalized minky blankie with satin trim is sweet and simple but very meaningful if the baby gets attached to it. can you make some nursery wall decor or a mobile? how about a darling outfit for a little gentleman? just thinking of things i would like for my son from a friend. my grandmother is making him a quilt of all different "boy" related patches. it's a "sampler" quilt but it's like bear tracks and windmills and things like that. |
