| Warning if you fear Spiders.... This is my latest visitor, an orb weaver spider. I get these things every year on my patio. I really don't mind them as they kill bugs...it just creeps me out that I don't know where they do during the day. I like to sit out there in the mornings and drink coffee and I find myself thinking it could be under my chair. IMG_9092.jpg IMG_9094.jpg IMG_9095.jpg

| Oh, I have been a mess lately with spiders inside my house. They creep me out...totally! I am always afraid one will bite one of my pups. It is around this time of the year that they seem to come out. I always feel guilty, but I stomp on them anyway. Those outside don't bother me as much.

| Spiders are one of my biggest fears. I was bit when I was 16 at camp and spent 3 days in bed with my leg elevated. I still have a scar. Not sure what kind it was. It was in my jeans Are those kind in your picture poisoness? As terrified as I am of them, I am like you, I don't mind them when they are outside, but I don't want them in the house!! Your pictures are amazing however even if the subject is less than desireable. Oh yeah, what's worse than the actual spider, is walking through a web not knowing where that sucker is....

Gosh..that bite sounds awful. And spider webs are totally creepy! Nothing worse than walking into one and worrying that the spider is on you.

| Spiders, here in Arizona, are a common every day thing. ALTHOUGH I hate them with a passion. I kid you not, one day last summer, in the late evening, around 10. My daughters and I were sitting on the front patio, when my daughter looked to the driveway and said, 'hey mom, what is that'. We all got up to go look, I thought it was a squirrel hurt in the driveway it was THAT BIG. We got up to it, and it was a tarantula. The size of my hand, and I have pretty darned big hands. (I really didn't believe we had tarantulas in AZ, until I looked it up. YES we sure do. This guy was a monster. Even though I dislike spiders, I wouldn't let anyone touch it. I carefully let it cross the driveway into the bushes in the front yard.) By the time my hubby got home, 20 minutes later, he was long gone. He thinks I'm exaggerating when I say as big as my hand, but no way, no exxageration at all!!! Actually could be under estimating his size. I so wish I had a camera at the time to get a pic!! You definitely got a good pic though.

| The biggest, ugliest spiders make the most beautiful webs. One time during court ordered community service(JK), I was on yard sale sign duty (taking down the signs on lightpoles) and it was about 7am. The sun was just coming up, and it was all misty still. On one lightpole there was a huge spider in the middle of his perfect web with dew all on over it. I wish I had a camera with me, it was the most perfect dew covered web I'd ever seen, and with the spider in the middle of it to top it off. He was so lucky I didn't kill him.

| Those pictures are creepy, LJ, and dang those spiders are big. (Guess everything is bigger in Texas. ) Spider webs... The spiders on our deck weave one over night during the summer. Just amazing to take the girls out in the morning and have to walk through it, when you knew it was clear the night before. I hate that sticky feeling.

| this thread reminded me of a pic my artsy lil sis took last summer....it is very creepy to me, it was difficult to resize it as it gets so big on the screen! she didn't even realize how "scary" this pic was until she downloaded it to the pc & saw it enlarged.
