| Mac users: need printer/scanner recommendations My HP printer/scanner/copier died. I'm looking for a replacement that is compatible with Mac. Any recommendations? Online reviews give me the impression that no one is happy with their printer/scanners. I print mostly plain documents and letters with colorful graphics, and I do a fair amount of scanning and copying. Printing pictures on photo paper isn't a priority. |

| I gambled and bought the relatively inexpensive HP Photosmart C4640 All-in-One printer/scanner/copier. It was out of the box and printing in under 10 minutes. No issues scanning to the Mac, yahoo! It is fast and the print quality is great for an inkjet. We'll see if it stands the test of time. |

| I love my HP 7580 series. It is a few years old...all in one. A little expensive but was well worth it. I do a little photography on the side, and it does a great job on pictures.

| I have an Epson Artison 700 and I LOVE it!!!!! Prints, scans-even prints on CD's. The ink is in separate little container things which is nice unless you run our of every color at this same time!!! Works perfect every time. |

| I'm glad I just saw this thread. I haven't thought far enough ahead to be asking questions about a printer for my Mac. This will help - thanks!

After I installed the HP yesterday, I checked for updates and sure enough, the 1.1.1 "scanner killer" appeared in the list. | |
