I gambled and bought the relatively inexpensive HP Photosmart C4640 All-in-One printer/scanner/copier.

It was out of the box and printing in under 10 minutes. No issues scanning to the Mac, yahoo! It is fast and the print quality is great for an inkjet.

We'll see if it stands the test of time.
