| Kindle 2 I got my Kindle 2 in April and absolutely love it. I was wondering if there were any other Kindle 2 users out there and what accessories they have for theirs? Right now I don't have any accessories. I actually stick the Kindle in a Coach bag cover lol and then stick it in my purse. I've been looking at Amazon for cases and those sticker things you put on them, but I just can't decide. Any suggestions?

| I have the K1 and love mine too! Best thing ever. I read two/three books at a time and it's so portable. No more lugging heavy books on trips abroad. Check out the kindle forums for accessory advice. |

| It really is great. I went out of the country for five weeks on vacation and read book after book after book. I'd even go to a bookstore there, run to the English part of the store, jot down some more books and then buy them on Amazon and download them through the computer. It's a sickness, really. I've spent so much money on the thing ... sigh. I am super paranoid about it breaking, though, because I've read so many reviews of people dropping it and it not working after that. Stresses me out! Oh wow. I did not know about that board. I'm going to check it out right now. Thanks!

| Oh, and if there's anyone in or around the San Antonio area here who is thinking about getting a Kindle, I'd be more than happy to show off mine! I would put this on the Amazon boards ... but meeting strangers there makes me a little wary. I feel much safer meeting one of you guys. How weird is that?

Just search the K books on Amazon and do it from low to high price. They also have some free books every month. | |

| I also have a Kindle2 and I am sooo in love. I have the m-edge jacket for it cuz I was scared I was gonna scratch up the back (I am very rough on my electronics). I love that I can be anywhere and download a new book. It is so much more cost effective than going to the store and buying a paper version. I never have time to go to the library and its usually out of the new releases anyway (I live in a tiny town!)

| Well, I don't have a kindle, but I did get the kindle app for my ipod touch and my husbands. It's a free app, and it came in handy on our last road trip. He enjoys reading his at work during his breaks. |

| There are just so many different cases to choose from! I really liked one make by Vizu, but I've read they stain your Kindle. Thanks! I'll have to check out the free/penny books. I originally wanted to get the M-Edge, but I was afraid it was too bulky. Is it, or does it still keep it relatively slim? I did not know they even had a free app for the iPod Touch! *runs off to get it*

| I really want a Kindle, but am reluctant to spend the money right now. I would like to subscribe to newspapers and magazines on it also! |

| I've never had the K1, but I've read reviews of many people liking it. I'm sure you could get that version at a discounted price, especially since the K2 is somewhat old news with the new one out there. Unless you need to use a lot of PDFs on it or need it for business reasons, I would be against buying the newest one, the DX (I think that's what it's called). It's just so much more expensive, and a lot bigger than the K2/K1. Unless, you're looking for that ... for me, I like something smaller so I can stick it in my purse and go. I absolutely adore the K2. Although I haven't gotten any subscriptions yet, I like that they all arrive early in the morning wirelessly to the Kindle and that the magazines arrive to your Kindle before they hit the stands. So very nice. It's also good for those who read excessively and/or travel a lot. Books delivered wirelessly are almost always cheaper, and there are many under $10. It was definitely an expensive purchase, though. I looked over every single review I could find for every e-reader I could locate. I thought about it for quite a while before I decided it would be worth the hundreds of dollars for me. I just really like the way Amazon does their e-reader. I haven't regretted the purchase ... even if I've missed the money. To note: If you get the K2, it doesn't come with a case or cover. Because the Kindle is so fragile (I've read reviews of it being dropped one foot in the house and it never working again) many have opted to get one. Cases range anywhere from $20 to $150, maybe even more. I haven't bought one yet (still looking to see which I like the best). It's definitely something to consider. (And another way to take money out of our pockets. )

| I bought the M-edge executive jacket for my kindle 2. I really like it. The kindle fits in in securely and protects it so I don't worry if I put it in my purse or on a table. The cover does add a bit of bulk, but not too much, IMHO. I used my kindle for about 2 weeks before I picked out the cover and I did scratch up the back of it a bit even though I did not let it leave the house since I had no cover. The only negative comment I have about the cover is that there is extra room on the left side of it for the m-edge book light which isn't available yet. However, I think that will turn into a positive once the light is available.

| Thanks for your feedback on the M-Edge! I'm glad to hear it's not too bulky. Now I'm trying to decide between that, the Noreve and the Vizo. Decisions, decisions ...

| I looked at this forum for the first time the other day. I wanted to see what topics, not Yorkie related, are discussed. Kindle keeps appearing when I go to the Amazon web site, but I always ignore it since I'm not an avid book reader. I decided to read this thread out of curiosity, & to read unbiased opinions about the Kindle. I started researching the Kindle 2 vs. the Kindle DX. I liked the size of the Kindle 2, but thought that the DX would be easier to read (I have poor eyesight for reading). I read about the Ipod Touch Kindle application, & being able to download chapter 1 of books. Since I have an Ipod Touch I gave it a try. I thought the the Ipod Touch screen was going to be much too small. Was I ever surprised. I think it's perfect, at least for me. I'm reading comfortably with the medium font size, & can use the smaller fonts without straining. It makes reading a pleasure. Page turning is easy, & no need for a bookmark. I purchased my first Kindle book yesterday, & certainly not my last. Thanks for getting me interested in Kindle. Now I don't need to buy a book case, & with the money I can get a ???

| The Kindle application is free, as well as chapter 1 downloads, so nothing to lose.
