| Has anything unexplained ever happened to you? After watching a programme about 'the unexplained' I thought I'd share with you a couple of strange things that have happened in my life that I can't explain..... When I was about 14 my sisters were staying at my aunts house and my mum and dad suggested a drive to a nearby animal park and lunch at a restaurant.....of course I jumped at the chance! Just as we pulled out of the drive I was suddenly overwhelmed by the weirdest feeling....I can't really describe, I just felt really uneasy being in the car. I told my parents I didnt want to go out and after several 'don't be dafts' dad pulled over and I got out. They gave me the key to get back indoors and went out without me. Later on my aunt came over with my sisters, she said my dad had called from the hospital and there's been accident. Pulling out of a junction about 20 mins in to their journey, my parents car had been hit in the rear drives side by a speeding motorist. The car was spun into the road and another car, unable to stop, hit the rear passenger side. The front of the car was untouched and my parents luckily only had minor injuries. The back of the car was completely crushed....its unlikely anyone sitting in the back would have survived Another weird incident happened when I was about 10. I used to love staying at my great-grandparents on a saturday night. One sunday when my mum picked me up we'd barely been home five minutes when my nan called to say that my grandad had collapsed. He died of a heart attack I found out, years later, when my nan was very ill, that the night before my grandad died she'd awoken to find me standing beside him talking to him softly as he slept. Thinking I was sleepwalking, my nan told me to go back to bed. I looked at her and said; 'I'm just telling grandad that the angels are coming.' and then went back to my room. Of course these could be coincidences: maybe my enthusiasm for the animal park was dampened by the fact that i was a moody teenager And maybe I was having a strange dream at my grandparents house...... What do you think? and has anything 'unxplained' ever happened to you? I'd love to hear your stories! xxx

| WOW! Thats really freaky! My mum seems to have a sixth sense about things-one incident that springs to mind-my mum and dad used to live in the Isle of Man when my sister and brother were little(and before me). They were supposed to be going out for the day to Summerland(an indoor themepark) but my mum said she did'nt fancy going-my dad was really looking forward to it and kicked up a stink They argued about it but mum dug her heels in and refused to go-to this day she says she has no idea why-she was'nt sick or anything, just had a strong urge to stay away. That was the day Summerland was burned to the ground 50 people died and many more seriously injured, many of the walls and ceilings were covered in polystyrene and it melted and dripped all over the people inside I dread to think what might have happened if they'd have gone that day

| I have a ghost that lives in my house...does that count? (Seriously.) My mom has...psychic tendancies, for lack of better term. Actually, I do to, but it's nothing compared to her! Some of the stuff she's 'done' is really freaky. To share a few examples: --When I was taking my Psych classes in college, we had to conduct a study for one of our assignments. I used my mom and did my paper on channeling psychic abilities. I got several pictures (all I remember was one was a castle and one was a sailboat) and my family members took turns concentraiting on one of the pictures and my mom tried to describe what they were looking at. Needless to say, she was able to peg several off them quite accurately. --My sis recently got engaged, called me as soon as it happened and told me. Was hesitant about telling my parents (heaven only knows why) and put it off for a week. Within an hour of her having called me to share the news, my mom called randomly and asked if I was OK. I assured her I was and asked her why...she said that she just had this overwhelming feeling that something was wrong with me or my sister....that "something big had happened to one of us." --Years ago, a very close friend of my parents was murdered by her ex husband, who dumped her body in a river (which was found months later). My dad was one of the people that searched for her in the area woods days after she went missing. After the 2nd day, he came home, share the news that nothing had been found and my mom just looked at him and said..."You're not looking in the right place...she's not in the woods. She's near the water...everytime I think about her, all I see is water all around her!" |

| When I was young we used to go camping - every summer to the same campground in Central Florida. Heck, we usually even got the same campsite. Well one year we did something unexpected and went to a different campsite that I HAD NEVER EVER BEEN TO before. When we got there I KNEW where everything was - it was like I had spent a lot of time in that place - a happy familar feeling. |

Oh my goodness, Claire! My Grandmother had a "dream" that she got to see her sister, who had passed, she talked with her about the family and asked how every one was doing. My grandmother woke up and told her caregiver about her dream and how soon she was going to get to see her sister again. My Grandmother died that night, she had a heart attack, she was only 61. Another strange thing that had happened, on Abbi's 1st birthday, after her party we were going to look at some houses, Gavin's mother was down from Brooklyn, she wanted to buy some real estate in NC as an investment, and to give us bigger place to live and raise Abbi (we would living in a small apartment at the time). As we were leaving, Abbi started screaming....so of course it delayed us about 10 minutes to get her to calm down, you dont want to ride in a car with a crying baby if you dont have too. After she was calm, we got in the car and went on our way, At the end of our street was a horrible car accident that had just happen 10 mins before we got in the car, someone had ran a stop light at the intersection. If Abbi hadnt of started crying like she did, i know we would of been in that accident. | |

| I lived with my mom and her husband for about a year after they got married while I was in college. I used to go out clubbing and dancing and come home LATE at night. I would get this feeling I was being watched but I never felt scared or anything. I had dreams, but not real dreams ... they were more like impressions that the person watching me was an older woman (about 60s) with a blue dress and a big brimmed straw hat with a blue ribbon around it. She took care of me... I always had the impression that she took care of me... sat on my bed while I slept, brushed my hair and just sat there. I NEVER told anyone or said anything. When I moved out my mom turned the room into her painting studio and exercise room. Nearly 10 years later when my mom and her hubby were moving out my mom said to me "Im really going to miss my ghost" I asked her what she meant and she told me there was a woman living in her studio, my mom went on to describe her age, blue dress and hat... all what I had the impression of when I lived there. SSPPOOOKKKYYY!!!

| OMGosh yes. In fact, here is my thread about it http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/off...want-move.html I honestly thought I was going crazy. I really did. We've moved since then. It is interesting to note that I dealt with that stuff pretty much the entire time we lived in that house. It was after MIKE experienced just a couple teeny little things (the light in the bedroom came on by itself, and the television turned itself off, then back on again and someone/thing "laughed") we moved. Since moving, I do still have the occasional thing where I could swear I just saw someone walk down the hall, or through the living room. I also still lose things and have them appear in a place in plain sight where I know I didn't see them earlier. As far as the other house goes, I am still not sure if it was really "haunted". It was an old house with some bad wiring so it really could have been that I was just hypersensitive to some of that. High EMF readings can cause severe headaches, a feeling of being watched/paranoia, hallucinations, nausea, and pretty much a lot, if not all of the stuff I experienced in that house.

| Ok so I get "messages" from my deceased grandpa all the time. Most people say its coincidental but its alot of coincidences. Right after my grandfather passed away, I was just distraught. He was very much so like my dad as my mom and I have always lived with my grandparents. Well I was just terribly low one day and was sitting on the couch watching tv and missing my papaw and wondering if we were gonna be able to make it without him. And then I saw the toilet paper commercial with the big daddy bear and the little boy and little girl bear for the first time. To get that you would have to have known my grandpa, but he used to always answer those types of questions with "Does a fat bear... go to the bathroom... in the woods?" Ok well he didn't say it that nicely but you get the point. The bear sorta looked like my papaw and the little bears were like me and my cousin Kenny who were his shadows when we were younger. Then when I was graduating high school and about to go off to college. I was devestated that he wouldn't be at my graduation. Well when my grandpa was alive, he LOVED hummingbirds and I always got him hummingbird related presents. Right after he passed away I got my first car, an Infiniti (don't get excited, it was 7 years old at the time!). Anyway when I was depressed about graduation, I was again having a sad afternoon on the couch thinking about graduation without my grandpa and how proud he would be of me. It just happened that for the first time I see the Infiniti commercial with the hummingbirds. How coincidental that that company decided to use that image and the commercial happened to come on TV when I was having those feelings again so strongly... It was kinda like he was saying to me, "I'm not missing anything, I'm still right here." Regardless of all the naysayers, I'm convinced they are messages and I'll continue to keep my eyes open!

| These are a few things that I don't share with people because I always feel like someone will think I'm crazy. My sister and I both have had some unexplained things happen. 1. When I was very young our whole family was going to my aunts house and we were going up a hill. I was so small I was standing in the back seat between my brother and sister. Well, my sister told me to get behind her because we were going to have an accident. Of course I didn't want to listen so she shoved me over behind her. When we got over the other side of the hill our dad ended up rearending another car because he was looking at some girl walking along the sidewalk. If I had still been standing I would have flown into the front of the car or through the windshield. 2. When my aunt moved to OK I went down to visit one summer. We ended up going to her cabin for a weekend and went out on the lake in a paddle boat. When we got to a certain area I realized I had "seen" this area before along with all the activities that were taking place. It freaked me out because as I realized this I also remembered that one of my cousins "drowned" in the way I remembered things. I told my aunt I wasn't feeling well and asked if we could go back to the cabin. It upset my cousins but we went back to the cabin. I don't know if it would have happend but I didn't want to stick around and find out. I never told anybody. 3. I moved to Germany with my ex after high school. He picked me up from the airport and we drove to our home. Of course being excited I was looking around. When we got close to where the house was I again experienced "seeing" a place that I had "seen" before only there was no way I actually had seen it before in person. Only this time there were no negative feelings associated thank goodness. (BTW... loved Germany, and would love to go back only this time without the ex!) 4. One day I just couldn't shake this terrible feeling. It lasted all day. It was one of those horrible in the pit of your stomache feelings. I wasn't sick, nothing bad was going on, I just couldn't explain it. Well after my ex got home from a day at work (we only had one car) we had to take care of some things so we went out to run errands. Low and behold we were going around a curve on the autobahn and there was an accident on around the curve and my husband hit a large area of water and hydroplaned before he could get the car stopped. Needless to say we got involved in an accident as well. I "knew" something bad was going to happen and I ignored it. This was the final lesson that tought me to trust those feelings instead of ignoring them. These are a few of the weird and unexplained things that have happend in my life.

| Hmmm....what do you want to hear about? Geez, I could literally write a novel about all the stuff that's gone on there. Let see, some of the things that have happened around our house over the years... --Hubby was watching TV and heard someone choking...ran into the kitchen to ask if I was OK, to which I said, "Um, yeah...why?" He said, "You weren't in here choking or coughing just now?" Uh...nope. --Was sitting in the kitchen working one day and the ottomon in the living room 'moved' off the carpet and across the tile entry in front of the door on it's own. --Have heard muffled talking coming from other rooms in the house when no one was there. --Was sitting in the living room just a few weeks ago and the knob on the front door shook, like someone was coming in, but there was no one there, no one anywhere outside. The dogs actually heard it to and got up to go bark at the door like they generally do. --The clencher that confirmed my suspicions...Sent hubby to get me a drink on night while I was in the bathroom getting ready for bed, cut the light off, came to bed, looked up to see him walking from the door, across by the foot of the bed, sat up to get my drink from him about the time the REAL him opened the bedroom door and came in....turned back and whatever it was that I had seen was gone. --Now this is REALLY BIZARRE. My family knew I'd joked about our 'visitor' before, but we always just blew it off. So 2 days after I saw this 'thing' in my bedroom, I went to pick up my daughter from Mom's house (she'd picked her up from school) and told her about it, figuring she would actually take me seriously. As I was telling this story, she stared at me with her mouth hanging open and then finally told me that I would be interested in what my daughter had told her that afternoon. She said when she was walking out to her car at school, she kept turning to look behind her. She asked her what was wrong when she got in the car and my daughter told her that all day she felt like someone was following her, but there was never anyone there. My mom asked her if she knew who 'it' was and my daughter just said, "No...but it's someone...familiar?" Weird thing is, we bought the house brand new. My whole neighborhood is a new development and we were the first owners. A few weeks ago, we decided to hike up this big mountian that the houses back up to because someone told us there was a waterfall up there. (and there is...there's actually a stream that flows down the side of the mountain) While tracking through the woods, we found all these old stones that were clearly once the foundation of a house or something and found all these remnants of mining equipment and old troughs that were rusted out and broken scattered about. So clearly, there used to be activity in the area long before our houses were ever built. |

| One day, while I was cleaning the house, I suddenly thought of a friend that I had not even thought about for 8-10 years. As I looked in my living room, I "imagined" her sitting at the end of my sofa. I thought out loud, "I wonder what Patty is up to?" Two days later, I saw her obituary in the paper. She had died at about the same time I saw her in my living room. This was about 5 years ago. It still freaks me out a little. |
