| Miserable right now! I am weaning my daughter who will be 2 in June. I planned on nursing longer, but she has developed some really terrible habits while nursing lately that I have not been able to break. 1. She would insist on nursing upside-down. Yes it sounds funny, but it is very uncomfortable, and looks rediculous. 2. I have a small mole on my ribcage that she started digging at every night while falling asleep. When I would make her stop, she would sob. 3. She pinches my skin. I don't know when this started but during the day while nursing she will grab the skin on my belly and pinch and pinch. 4. When she isn't pinching or picking, she sticks her hand in my mouth. There are a few other things that are more embarassing that I don't know that I should mention as well I started understanding why mama dogs growl and snap at their pups when they are getting older and nursing I stopped yesterday, and today I am completely engorged and wanting to go to bed. She was so mad at me all night too. My other kids were not this hard to break, but they basically self-weaned. I don't know how people can do this!

| It's tough to do, but something that just has to be done. I'd just pump for a while and offer her a bottle/sippy with Breastmilk. It'll take a few months to adjust to not BF'ing and switching off BM completely. But you are definitely doing the right thing. All good things must come to an end. |
