| Do they even make this SUV? We are trying to find a new car and I'm starting to wonder if any company even makes one with all the criteria DH wants. Needs to be an SUV that is a manual which seems hard enough to find but on top of that it should be a V6 and NOT American made. We might consider American if it got really good reviews but have had bad experiences with American in the past. Does anyone have or know of a car like this? Oh and we're looking used. Thanks.

| I would recommend the Consumer Reports Mag. to find the best rated ones......A quick look and they gave the Toyota Hylander Hybrid and the V-6 and the Lexus RX Hybrid excellent ratings......Happy Shopping!!

Donating YT 500 Club Member | You might want to consider a Hyundai Santa Fe. We just bought one last week. After researching and then knowing about my son's, I can't say enough good things about them. They are top rated in safety crash tests, standard side airbags, interior could rival a much more expensive vehicle. With their 10 year/100,000 miles warranty they are trying to gain the confidence of car buyers. Although my son has had no real problems with his and it's 3 years old and 120,000 miles (he drives alot!) Another company nicety is each time my son has had to have maintenance done, a company representative calls here asking about his experience, was he satisfied, any comments on their service, etc. Also, during the economic crisis Hyundai Finance is making an attempt to help those who have recently bought their cars and have lost their jobs. I don't know of any other car mfg. doing something like that! I love ours, and being a sports car driver, I wasn't ready to be impressed~ Hyundai Santa Fe: Safe, Stylish SUVs - IIHS' Top Safety Pick | Hyundai ETA: the do have two sizes V-6.

Donating YT 500 Club Member | They have consistently received good ratings. I was very impressed after reading about them. Then after driving one was "SOLD"! To the OP: I forgot to mention ours has a automatic transmission with what they call "shiftronic". Also, I included the link to Edmunds - that's where I read another review on them. And, in one review they compared the interior to that of a Lexus, but for the budget-minded buyer. SHIFTRONIC® offers the convenience of an automatic transmission, combined with the sporty feel of a race-inspired sequentially shifted manual shift mode - tap "down" to downshift, tap "up" to upshift. | I have a pathfinder and I love it. It's a 6 cil. auto. I tow our boat, so it also is 4 wheel drive.
