| NYC Hostels? Ok guys..I need yalls help. My boyfriend and I are going to NY for a couple of days and trying to narrow down our options of where to stay. We were thinking about staying in a hostel, but don't know much about them. We're trying to do this as cheaply as possible, too. Those of yall that live in NY or have visited, do you have recommendations? We found a couple, but we don't really know their reputation or if they are sketchy or not. We'd like to be as close to the central park area as possible. Thanks guys!

Donating YT 11K Club Member | Welcome to the Central Park Hostel - the Best Budget Accommodations in New York City did you see that one? When my cousin was here she stayed in a hostel, she travels a lot. I remember it was in the uws but dont remember exactly what street. I will ask my mom for you. It was good, nothing happened to her and she liked it. I think most of them are pretty safe. I've never been to any but i would say just try to get one on the west side, mid-town to upper west side. Those areas are the safest. I think there is one around where i live, im pretty sure of it cause i always see young tourists around here but im not that close to central park.
