did you see that one? When my cousin was here she stayed in a hostel, she travels a lot. I remember it was in the uws but dont remember exactly what street. I will ask my mom for you. It was good, nothing happened to her and she liked it. I think most of them are pretty safe. I've never been to any but i would say just try to get one on the west side, mid-town to upper west side. Those areas are the safest.
I think there is one around where i live, im pretty sure of it cause i always see young tourists around here but im not that close to central park.
