| Is this the flu? I woke up feeling fine and about 330 today it hit me! Im soooo freezing cold, I am achy EVERYWHERE, slight headache, stomach is a mess! I have barely any appetite. Its mainly the achy and freezing part that is concerning me! Does the flu just strike like that quick?

| I know that there are medicines to reduce the severity and duration of a cold. Is there a similar medicine for the flu? I guess it wouldn't hurt to call your doctor to find out. Just wondering, did you get a flu shot this year? I am so sorry you feel so bad. I hope you're feeling better soon.

| The doctor I work for once described the flu for me. If you see someone that looks like it hurts to breathe and they want to die, that is the flu. I recommend flu shots for everyone!! Also, he also told me that a fever isn't a fever until its 101.0. Hope you feel better. Flu sucks!!

| Last year I felt like that and it ended up being a cold that turned into a sinus infection. Unless you go to the doctor (they can test you for the flu with a nose swab) you won't know for a few days. If it's really the flu you'll feel sick for over a week. It's probably a cold, I don't think flu is in full force yet. I hope you feel better soon!

| Hey all, I am home sick today! I went to bed last night super early but did not sleep an ounce all night. I think the fever broke after I took ibuprofen at like 6am, I woke up at 7am and I was soaking wet. I thought one of the dogs peed the bed thats how wet I was. It was more like cold sweats, and now that won't go away. I am so tired. Stomache still a mess, but my muscles feel a bit better, maybe the ibuprofen helped that. I have NO sore throat and no congestion or cough. My ears are blocked a lot today though. Weird huh? Get this though, boyfriend was sick as a dog yesterday. He left work early and came over at like 330, since he has to pick up his kids at 6 we went to eat a super early dinner at like 4. I was starting to feel sore everywhere before we left and he said his stomache felt like butterflies were in it, neither of us felt sick though. Before we left the restaurant we both felt disgustingly ill. He left my house to pick up his kids for 6 and he said by 7 he was violently ill, throwing up and shivering and later that night he has some water and a bit of OJ and threw up again! He could hold nothing down. He is much better today, but Im not much better. We definately do not have the same thing, at least I doubt it, with the different symptoms we had but ironic that we both got so sick and so fast?

| Yep-- that's the flu. It took me a whole week to feel better. The secret is definitely resting. I was taking Dayquill during the Day and Nightquill at night time. You don't want to have a relapse, so take care of yourself. Hop eyou feel better soon.
