| posting pix using a mac I am not sure where to post this so I picked here. I need help in learning how to post pix using a mac. I know how to post using a pc as I have done it lots of time. I started using a mac recently and I don't quite know what I need to use to resize my pix to post here. Can someone tell me how or what software to use in order to do it? Can I resize using iphoto? Thanks! Jamie

| Do you have iPhoto on your Mac? I have an iMac w/ iPhoto, and this is how I do it..... (it's easy!)... I go to iPhoto and click the pictures I want, then press the Email button and it asks what size, I put Medium. Then your Mail program pops up and the pictures are in the body of that email. Don't send them to anyone, but instead click each picture & save it (rename it as you save it) to your desktop. So, there now you have smaller pictures saved on your desktop. Then go to YorkieTalk & upload them. Then after thats done, I usually just delete them off my desktop. (because they're still in iPhoto). Like I said --- sneaky, (& easy) huh? |

I was going to suggest Photoshop, but not everyone has that program. Go with iPhoto OP, I will for now on | |

| Here's the way I do it on a mac. Go to iPhoto. Click on the pix you want, then under "file" drop down and click export. You'll get a box where you can resize to any size you want. I usually use 600 or 700. Click the lower right hand box and it takes you to the next screen. At the next screen, you can rename the pic, and save to wherever you want. I save to my desktop or to a picture folder. That's it - easy as pie, takes about 30 sec. Also if you have a pic that is not in iPhoto (but needs to be resized), you can do the reverse. Import it to your photo library (through the drop down menu under file). Then you can turn right around and export it using the process above so that you can resize it. It's really easy!

| WOW!! Thanks RowdysMom! That sounds even better than my pretending to email way ....now I have a choice of sizes rather than just "small" "Medium" or "Large". Thanks! Quote:
