I go to iPhoto and click the pictures I want, then press the Email button and it asks what size, I put Medium. Then your Mail program pops up and the pictures are in the body of that email. I have had a mac for years and didn't figure that one out! Great advice
I was going to suggest Photoshop, but not everyone has that program. Go with iPhoto OP, I will for now on
